You won’t necessarily notice straight away this hidden treasure on a busy street, but you will certainly be drawn in by the amazing smell of the food… As soon as you enter La Caravelle, the pictures of heavenly beaches, the reggae music and the owner’s smile will make you think that you are already on holidays.

There is a large selection on the menu but beware that you won’t always have that much choice at lunchtime. I tried the grilled chicken with lime. All lunch meals are served with rice and salad and cost about 9€, so reasonably cheap for Paris. I also had to try their mango lassi, which was really nice. Just make sure that you arrive early as the place can be quite popular around lunchtime.
