When you walk along the rue de Bretagne, you probably won’t have noticed that dark fence. From the outside, it looks like an entrance to a traditional market. But if you are curious enough to push the door, you will discover a whole new world in there.
This place is the oldest market in Paris. It has been reopened in 2000 and quickly became very popular, not only for its covered market but for its wonderful food stalls. The best part of this is that you can find food from all over the world.
All you need to do is pick your food : Lebanese, Italian or even Creole…, find a seat and take your time to enjoy your delicious meal. My favourite is definitely the Creole restaurant, one of the few places in Paris where you can find delicious “accras” – fried cod.
