If you are looking for a nice place to chill out along the coast, while visiting Dublin, this is worth a visit. Most tourists head to Howth or Malahide, which are also nice places to go to, but as I lived in Ireland for a while, I had already been there many times and was looking for something different. One of my Irish friends suggested Greystones, which is a lovely fishing village only 30 minutes away from the city by train. The place is charming with lots of lovely decorated boutiques and pubs and offers nice seaviews.

The best surprise of the day though was to find out about the Happy Pear, where I had a delicious Thai cashew nut, coconut and coriander soup with wild rice.

This restaurant was founded by Darragh, Stephen and David Flynn, who are brothers. All the living food products are sprouted and grown in a nearby farm, based in County Wicklow. The team is constantly innovating and is passionate about their healthy and locally produced goods.

This is truly a great place to chill out and watch the world go by, before enjoying a long walk by the beach.
