Many of you often ask me for a great place to try some profiteroles. This famous French pastry is usually served as a dessert in many cafés. However I tend to find that they are often quite bland.
Now the good news is that you can now find a boutique and tearoom dedicated to delicious profiteroles in the heart of Paris.
Philippe Urraca, who is among France’s top pastry chefs and was awarded the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 1994, has had the good idea to open this profiterole heaven called Profiterole Cherie.
Here you can order your own profiterole among the menu list which includes variants with ice-cream and lots of different flavours : vanilla, strawberry, lemon meringue, chocolate or even blackcurrant.
The puff pastry is baked every 45 minutes to ensure its freshness and the profiterole is only created on the spot for the customer.
You can either eat your dessert in the tearoom or take it away with you. If you choose the second option, just make sure that you can eat it quickly as this is not the kind of dessert you can keep for long.
